Break-Even Price Calculator formula
The total cash required for the purchase and entered charges is allocated across the number of shares. The resulting price is the minimum mathematical exit price before any unentered cost.
How to interpret the result
A market price above this estimate is not automatically a net profit if taxes, slippage or additional sell-side costs were omitted.
Worked example
A 10,000 purchase with 50 of charges across 100 shares breaks even at 100.50 per share.
How to use this calculator

- Confirm that quantities, dates, rates and currency match the labels.
- Review the result and change one assumption at a time when comparing scenarios.
Common mistakes
- Entering only buy-side charges.
- Using zero quantity.
- Confusing accounting break-even with an investment target.
Limitations
The tool depends entirely on the charges entered and does not calculate segment-specific statutory charges automatically.
