Stock Weightage Calculator formula
Position weight divides one holding’s current value by total portfolio value. The numerator and denominator should use values from the same time and currency.
How to interpret the result
A larger weight means more portfolio value is exposed to that position, but the appropriate concentration depends on the investor and portfolio design.
Worked example
A position worth 2,500 in a 10,000 portfolio has a weight of 25%.
