The principal equity-market holiday schedules normally align, but exchange circulars remain authoritative and can announce changes or special sessions.

Weekends and special sessions

Normal equity trading is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Muhurat trading is a special Diwali session whose exact time is announced separately by the exchanges.
